New Student Orientation

On August 21-22, the Admissions and Student Affairs (ASAO) office successfully hosted our new student orientation, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey for our newest optometry & vision science cohort. Over the course of two days, new students were introduced to faculty, learned about program expectations, and engaged in various activities aimed at fostering community and ensuring a smooth transition into graduate life.
Students also had the opportunity to connect with their peers and current students, participate in discussions, and enjoy social events; including a happy hour event which took place the night before orientation. We are thrilled to welcome such a talented and diverse group of students to Berkeley and look forward to training the new generation of optometrists and vision researchers!
