VS Alum Sahar Yousef Featured in Forbes

Cognitive neuroscientist and Vision Science alum Sahar Yousef, PhD '18, is featured in Forbes Magazine this month. Dr. Yousef works with leaders and businesses to improve their performance by becoming more focused and productive. In the Forbes piece, she says of her work, “I didn't want to just understand the human brain, I wanted to study a phenomenon called neuroplasticity; how the brain changes and adapts. Specifically, I wanted to study cognitive enhancement and study ways we can improve cognitive performance in a meaningful way. It's a little Sci-Fi, but that's super fascinating to me."
During her time at Berkeley Optometry, Dr. Yousef worked with Dr. Michael Silver. Her dissertation is titled, Cognitive and Attention Regulation Training.
