Emily Cooper Is Our New Vision Science Chair

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Emily Cooper has officially assumed the role of Chair of the Vision Science Graduate Group as of January 1, 2025. Dr. Cooper’s commitment to advancing vision science research make her an excellent choice to guide the program into the future.

We also want to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Rowland Taylor for his outstanding tenure as Chair. Dr. Taylor, among many other highlights, oversaw important changes to the program with respect to milestones and process, increased stipends, worked through challenges in administrative support and, of course, expertly guided us through the difficult pandemic years. Please join me in thanking Dr. Taylor for his contributions and welcoming Dr. Cooper to her new role!
