Dr. Silver Explains Psychedelic Science

In a new Berkeley News “101 in 101” video, Vision Science and Neuroscience Professor Michael Silver explains how brain imaging may help researchers better understand what happens in the brain during psychedelic experiences. As director of the UC Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics, Dr. Silver is leading work to connect changes in brain activity with changes in perception – research that could deepen our understanding of consciousness and help inform future treatments for mental illness.
