WHERE I'M FROM

Highland, New York

BEFORE VS

Undergraduate: UC Berkeley, Molecular and Cell Biology
Doctor of Optometry: UC Berkeley, School of Optometry
Residency: UC Berkeley, Pediatrics and Primary Care

WHY I’M HERE

During my residency, I elected to add clinical research to my program, and became inspired to continue in the PhD program.

MY RESEARCH

I hope to continue working on clinical research in the management of progressive myopia through optical and pharmaceutical interventions.

MY GOALS

I hope to be able to join the faculty at a University with an optometry program where I can continue to educate clinicians, other health professionals, and the public about my area of growing expertise. Additionally, I hope to someday establish a pediatric low vision clinic at the Nevada School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, where kids in need can receive appropriate low vision devices to suit their education needs.

MY HOBBIES

When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me at the dog park with my best friends, Leo and Arjun. If not, then I’m probably ice skating, running, at a Cal game, eating at one of the many fabulous restaurants or food trucks around the Bay Area, or at the barre for my favorite fitness class!
