WHERE I'M FROM

I'm from Cairo, Egypt.

BEFORE VS

I completed my undergraduate studies at The Cairo University in Egypt where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Biotechnology and Biomolecular Chemistry. Following graduation, I enrolled in a Biochemistry graduate program at Ain Shams university in Egypt and had the opportunity to conduct research as a visiting student at Stanford University.

MY GOALS

Broadly speaking, I hope to help unravel molecular mechanisms involved in retinal development and diseases that would help us develop better targeted therapies.

MY RESEARCH

During my time at Stanford, my research focused on exploring molecular mechanisms underlying retinal development and plasticity.

MY HOBBIES

I like hiking, doing calisthenics, baking and cross stitching.
