WHERE I'M FROM
Pleasanton, California
BEFORE VS
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychological and Brain Sciences at UC Santa Barbara with concentrations in Applied Psychology and Spatial Studies. I was also a ViSUR Scholar with the UC Berkeley School of Optometry before being inspired to pursue graduate studies in Vision Science.
MY RESEARCH
At UC Santa Barbara, I investigated spatial location prioritization in visual working memory and researched differences in visual search performance between human and machine vision as an NIH MARC Scholar. I also collaborated with the Levi Lab at UC Berkeley, where I trained CNN models on data from patients with amblyopia. Now, as a Vision Science PhD student, I hope to unravel mid-level vision (the gray area between early visual processing and higher-level functions such as attention) using a variety of methodologies.
MY GOALS
To get better at reading and digesting long pages of literature, haha! Ultimately, I’d like to use my vision science expertise to help create innovative technologies.
MY HOBBIES
I enjoy playing video games like Final Fantasy and Satisfactory. I also love marching band! I was in color guard before moving to percussion with the UCSB Pep Band. I’m excited to (hopefully) be rocking with Oski on the football field as part of Cal Band.
