I studied computer science at Wellesley College (outside of Boston), then worked as a software engineer in NYC for a few years. Most recently, I was in Taipei working on code-switching speech recognition at National Taiwan University.
I've always been interested in perception, the eye, and the brain, but have never studied them seriously. I also believe studying vision from a biological and perceptual perspective will make me a better computational vision researcher.
Ideally will focus on developing robust representations of vision and using vision pathway-inspired concepts to create better computer vision systems.
