Dr. Christine Wildsoet gave a talk at ARVO's RPE as a signal Transducer Between Retina and Choroid - Crossover Sectional Symposium this year. Her topic was "Accumulating evidence from chick for the role of the retinal pigment epithelium as a signal relay station in eye growth regulation." (not pictured) The Wildsoet Lab was also featured in a talk at ARVO's Optical Quality and Visual Performance Paper Talk this year. The topic was "Interactions Between the Zernlike Modes, Spherical Aberration and Defocus During Accommodation and Effects of Multi focal Soft Contact Lenses" Another Wildsoet Lab talk at ARVO's Myopia: Molecular/Genetic Mechanisms Paper Talk this year. This topic was "Effects of Imposed Defocus on the Profile of Gene Expression in Chick Retinal Pigment Epithelium" Congratulations for being awarded the Weymouth Student Travel Fellowship.
Pictures and Posters from ARVO are below "The Study of the Repeatability of Peripheral Refraction Measurements and the Effect of Spherical Soft Contact Lens Wear (SSCL)" "Effect of Apomorphine on TGF Beta secretions by Cultured Retinal Pigmented Epithelial Cells" "In Vitro Sclera Fibroblast Growth on Biomimetic Extra cellular Matrices" "Myopia Induced by Intravitreal Quisqualic Acid in Young Chicks Has a Corneal Origins and is not Altered by Imposed Defocus"
Heading out to enjoy the beach. We had a lovely dinner at a Cuban restaurant. Enjoyed some beverages at the restaurant. It was a fun evening. Many good thing to eat for everyone, unfortunately the vegetarian cuisine was lacking in creativity. |
