Dr. Wildsoet Awarded Honorary Doctorate

Dr. Christine Wildsoet has recently been recognized by the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with an Honorary Doctorate for her exceptional service to the community, to scholarship and to the university. Dr. Wildsoet is one of eight Australian honorees, who will be presented their honorary doctorate at a future graduation ceremony, where they will have the opportunity to address QUT's graduates.

"Professor Christine Wildsoet has been a significant role model, mentor and a trail blazing woman in academic optometry and vision science. Professor Wildsoet is an optometry graduate of a QUT predecessor institution, the Queensland Institute of Technology and was the first optometrist in Queensland to obtain a PhD. She has sustained outputs of the highest quality over a career spanning more than 40 years, including 20 years of dedicated service to QUT." – QUT
