Professor Malik becomes a member of the National Academy of Sciences

Professor Jitendra Malik

The National Academy of Sciences , the nation’s oldest and most prestigious scientific organization. Established in 1863 under President Abraham Lincoln, the Academy serves to recognize achievement in science and provides science, technology, and health policy advice to the federal government and other organizations.

Last week, the Academy announced its 84 newly elected members in recognition of distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. Professor Jitendra Malik being one of them. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement, Professor Malik!
